Kuala Trengganu Trip with Convent Peel Road Teachers

When I was the Penyelia Petang in Convent Peel Road from 1995 to 2002,
Pn Noraini was very "rajin" to organise trips (sponsored except for food)
and I managed to join her for the Kuala Trengganu trip.

We stopped at this place for a Mamak breakfast
(spent the whole night and slept on the bus!!!
that's one night without the need for accomodation!)
Our trip was solely for shopping!!! At this market at the border town
that I have forgotten the name of!!
All the teachers buying kerepek and keropok lekor.
The clerk (her son became my student in MBS) and Pn Rahmah
Her son's name is NorAfifi in 3 "0" the naughtiest class that kept me on my toes!!
(people like Barathan, Ng Quo Wei, Desmond and
Kalvin Ho's good friend...forgot his name)
Pn Rohani's daughter at the traditional medicine stall
Outside one of the shops at Kuala Trengganu.
Pn Maria Mahmood with her son.

 "The floating mosque"
Pn Norizan, the PKHem at that time & me
Pn Norizan (now a pengetua at a school..forgot name!)
and her daughter Shakira (the original Shakira before the singer became famous)
This picture won a prize in New Straits Times Travel Page
Maria Mahmud's son
Children of the teachers of CPR
Pn Rahmah (original daughter of Trengganu) showing us how to work the loom!

I enjoyed this trip because:
it was free
we teachers bonded
we slept in the bus!!!
brushed our teeth and washed up at some coffee shop!!!
we shopped!
we went to places the non-Malays seldom go
we visited the floating mosque
we stayed at Ancasa Hotel
Pn Noraini got transferred and there were no more free trips for us!!
she organised Malacca, Langkawi, Air Hitam trips
she was in the process of clinching Sabah trip......!!!
