Here we are now......
Here we are now......
Here we are now, at the present time....
more than 20 years later, 3 grown children and near retirement...
How we were then.....
Picture shows us at a Dungun beach in the early 80's.
He was a young medical officer and I was Ms Loo, the cikgu from Parit Sulong!
Read the story of how we started our "love affair" with Terengganu
and made it "Terengganu di Hatiku" here:

When we have both retired, we are both going back on a slow road trip to Dungun,
where we first sojourned in 1982, and explore the whole of Trengganu again,
re-visiting the old places and checking out spanking new resorts!!!

Yes, u two should go back!!! =)
I cherish the memories of Trengganu deeply. My first visit was in 1980, travelling past paddy fields, coconut trees, fishing villages for many long hours along the coastal road with the rolling waves of the South China Sea in the background. Went back in June 2006, this time around visited the impressive museum ( surely cos funded by Petronas),Pulau Dayang- where ships ordered by the rich and famous are built, the Payang market, Chinatown, the floating mosque, tasted kerepok lekor ( the snack that made a few millionaires), the authentic nasi dagang and not forgetting the original Trengganu batik. Would really love to go back again ...
